I bought this half-expecting a wall decoration. Instead I got a guitar I still pick up. That’s the whole review, really — at ₹2,000 the bar is “does it hold a tune and not hurt to play,” and it clears that easily.
The trick with cheap instruments is that the price is the feature. Because it cost nothing, it lives out on a stand instead of in a case, and a guitar you can see is a guitar you’ll play. A ₹40,000 one I’d be scared to leave out. This one just gets used.
Is it perfect? No. Give it a basic setup — the action out of the box is a little high — and it transforms. And if you fall in love with playing, you’ll want something nicer eventually. But as the thing that tells you whether you’re going to fall in love, at this price, nothing beats it.
